This notice explains how this website handles information about you. In short: we don't collect or store personal information through this website, and it doesn't use cookies.
Who we are
DW Solicitors is a trading style of DW Solicitors Limited, Queens House, Queens Street, Barnstaple, Devon EX32 8HJ. We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. For any privacy question, email [email protected] or call 01271 828728.
This notice covers this website only. If you become a client, we will explain how we use your information when you instruct us.
What this website collects
This website has no forms, accounts or sign-ups, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We don't collect or store personal information about visitors.
Services that help run the website
Like every website, some technical information is needed to show you the pages. This is handled by the following providers, not stored by us:
- Cloudflare hosts this website. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, it processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and may keep it briefly in its security logs.
- The SRA digital badge in the footer is loaded from the Solicitors Regulation Authority's badge provider, which receives your IP address so it can show our current regulatory status.
This processing is in our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website and showing that we are regulated. These providers may process information outside the UK, in which case they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
If you contact us
If you phone or email us using the details on this website, we use your details only to reply to you and deal with your enquiry.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies. While you browse, your browser may remember where you were on each page so the back button returns you to the same place. This stays on your device, is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
Links to other websites
This website links to other sites, such as the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA. They have their own privacy policies, which we are not responsible for.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it elsewhere. To make a request, email [email protected].
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first by emailing [email protected] or writing to us at the address above. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
